Food Packaging and Shelf Life

Food Packaging and Shelf Life

FOOD PACKAGING SHELF

ISSN / eISSN
2214-2894
Aims and Scope
Food packaging plays a vital role in preserving food throughout the distribution chain. Without packaging, the processing of food can become compromised as it is contaminated by direct contact with physical, chemical, and biological contaminants. In recent years, the development of novel food packaging (modified atmosphere & active packaging) has not only increased the shelf life of foods, but also their safety and quality - therefore bringing convenience to consumers. Directly related, and interlinked, with food packaging is the concept of shelf life - the length of time that foods, beverages, pharmaceutical drugs, chemicals, and many other perishable items are given before they are considered unsuitable for sale, use, or consumption.

Summary:
The journal is excellent, with a visibly increasing impact factor. However, the formatting requirements are strict, so it is recommended to make the necessary changes to the paper according to the journal's requirements before submission to save time. The editors are efficient, but it is advised to send a reminder letter if there is no response within 3-4 months.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the journal for recognizing my experiment and results. I hope the journal continues to thrive.

There was a long gap due to Western Christmas and New Year holidays, and the first review took a relatively long time. The reviewer provided nearly twenty comments, and the editor requested a major revision, including an additional experiment. It took more than three months of continuous work, but finally, the paper was accepted. Moreover, it has been upgraded to a higher tier this year. I hope FPSL (presumably a journal or conference) continues to thrive.
