ISSN / eISSN
2199-4536 / 2198-6053
Aims and Scope
Complex & Intelligent Systems aims to provide a forum for presenting and discussing novel approaches, tools and techniques meant for attaining a cross-fertilization between the broad fields of complex systems, computational simulation, and intelligent analytics and visualization. The transdisciplinary research that the journal focuses on will expand the boundaries of our understanding by investigating the principles and processes that underlie many of the most profound problems facing society today.

After checking Web of Science, the impact factor of this journal is expected to exceed 6 this year. I am in the field of evolutionary algorithms. The biggest advantage of this journal lies in its double-blind review process, which is very fair. Reviewers cannot see the authors' information, and the reviewers' level is very high, obviously in your field. I have submitted papers to journals such as TEVC, TCYB, TSMC, Applied Intelligence, and Applied Soft Computing. There are only a few people in IEEE trans, and they are familiar faces. Now, it can be said that it is difficult to become a fellow without being rejected. I always feel that the editors of ASOC are very unprofessional and seem to have been detached from frontline research for a long time. The recommended reviewers always raise some inexplicable questions, clearly not in the same field. Those who work on evolutionary algorithms can consider submitting to this journal, after all, it is double-blind. Moreover, big names like Coello, Carlos A. Coello have also published papers in it, and domestic researchers such as Cheng R, Tian Y, Zhang XY have also published in this journal...

However, although this journal is slow, they always reply to emails. Then the editor said that due to the slow reviews by the previous reviewers, they have now urgently found two new reviewers for you. By April 29th, when I was celebrating the May 1st holiday at home, I received a notice for revisions. There were only two reviewers, maybe because I had been urging them, and the other reviewers had not responded. However, the editor saw that my comments were not too bad, so they asked me to make revisions. I spent half a month making major revisions. Then, when I submitted it again, the previously assigned editor became an inverted editor... I thought my article was done for, and I was anxious for those days. Then it said "Under Review," in capital letters. I thought it was the editor reviewing it again, but it wasn't. It meant that it was under review. The status of my manuscript keeps switching between "Under Review" and "Review Complete." I speculate that as soon as one reviewer returns, it becomes "Review Complete."
