Because my friend is the AE (Associate Editor) of this journal, sometimes I also help with reviewing articles for this journal. Actually, the main problem with this journal is that the EIC (Editor-in-Chief) is very slow, and some AEs are also slow. In January of this year, I reviewed two manuscripts, both of which required major revisions. The other four reviewers finished their reviews around February. In May, when I had some free time, I checked the status, and it was already May, but the decision hadn't been made yet. This really affects the authors' state of mind, doesn't it?

I don't remember the exact time, but I submitted it in July of the 22nd year. It took about 6 months to find reviewers, and after finding them, it took 2 weeks to review the manuscript. They gave me major revisions, and I resubmitted it after two weeks. Finally, it was accepted two weeks later, making the entire process span about 8 months. The speed did improve significantly after the new editor-in-chief took office.
