Aims and Scope
Soft Computing is dedicated to system solutions based on soft computing techniques. It provides rapid dissemination of important results in soft computing technologies, a fusion of research in evolutionary algorithms and genetic programming, neural science and neural net systems, fuzzy set theory and fuzzy systems, and chaos theory and chaotic systems.

Soft Computing encourages the integration of soft computing techniques and tools into both everyday and advanced applications. By linking the ideas and techniques of soft computing with other disciplines, the journal serves as a unifying platform that fosters comparisons, extensions, and new applications. As a result, the journal is an international forum for all scientists and engineers engaged in research and development in this fast growing field.

I may have been quite lucky, from September 21st, 21 to June 22nd, 22, a total of 10 months. There were two reviewers, one major revision and one minor revision, with the editor suggesting major revisions. During the process, I added a lot of experiments, and in the end, I applied for an extension to submit the revised manuscript for another half month due to insufficient time for revisions. The reply letter ended up being over 30 pages long, and I hoped there would be no more changes. The final result did not disappoint me after all the careful modifications. Overall, I was quite successful, having an additional publication in a Tier 3 journal before starting my PhD, which gave me peace of mind.

Let me talk about my experience of submitting articles to this journal. I have submitted two articles in total. The first article took about a year from submission to receiving the comments from the first reviewer. There were three reviewers, and they all suggested minor revisions. The second review took about two months, and it was directly accepted for publication. As for the second article, I submitted it last year, and it stayed in the "with editor" status for about a year (I am not sure if it was because one article was just accepted, but in any case, it took a long time). In November this year, I sent it for external review, hoping for good news.
