SOLID STATE IONICS

ISSN / eISSN
0167-2738
Aims and Scope
This interdisciplinary journal is devoted to the physics, chemistry and materials science of diffusion, mass transport, and reactivity of solids. The major part of each issue is devoted to articles on:

(i) physics and chemistry of defects in solids;
(ii) reactions in and on solids, e.g. intercalation, corrosion, oxidation, sintering;
(iii) ion transport measurements, mechanisms and theory;
(iv) solid state electrochemistry;
(v) ionically-electronically mixed conducting solids.
Related technological applications are also included, provided their characteristics are interpreted in terms of the basic solid state properties.

Review papers and relevant symposium proceedings are welcome.

The speed is fast, and thanks to the work of Researcher Hong Li.
First review response within 2 weeks.
Around 15 comments were given, requiring major revisions with a deadline of 20 days.
However, during the revision period, the COVID-19 policies were relaxed, and everyone in the team fell ill.
An additional extension of 10 days for revision was applied and approved.
The submission happened to coincide with the Chinese New Year, with a reply and acceptance received on the first working day after the holiday.
Thank you for recognizing our work, and I wish the journal continuous improvement!

Posted on June 1st, with editor on June 2nd, under review on June 3rd, rejected on June 22nd. Overall, the editor was very prompt and responsible, and the reviewer's comments were constructive. For example, they asked how to determine whether a certain substance is A or B, why the fitting is linear, and what is the fundamental reason for improving electrochemical performance. There were also some language and grammar issues. I have been working on revisions for a month now and have submitted it to another journal. I hope it gets accepted!!! Fingers crossed!
