Aims and Scope
The International Journal of Hydrogen Energy aims to provide a central vehicle for the exchange and dissemination of new ideas, technology developments and research results in the field of Hydrogen Energy between scientists and engineers throughout the world. The emphasis is placed on original research, both analytical and experimental, covering all aspects of Hydrogen Energy, including production, storage, transmission, utilization, enabling technologies, environmental impact, economic and international aspects of hydrogen and hydrogen carriers such as NH3, CH4, alcohols, etc.

The utilization includes thermochemical (combustion), photochemical, electrochemical (fuel cells) and nuclear conversion of hydrogen, hydrogen isotopes and/or hydrogen carriers to thermal, mechanical and electrical energies, and their applications in transportation (including aerospace), industrial, commercial and residential sectors.

When outstanding new advances are made, or when new areas have been developed to a definitive stage, special review articles will be considered. Shorter communications are also welcome.

Verified Reviews
Note: Verified reviews are sourced from across review platforms and social media globally.
First review: Three reviewers, two minor revisions, which mainly involved language and formatting changes and did not require additional experiments. The third reviewer rejected the paper, stating that it lacked innovation and was lacking in experiments. The editor also provided four suggestions to improve the title, abstract, and highlight the innovative points.

Therefore, before the Chinese New Year, I made significant revisions to the paper, added two or three experiments, made changes to the introduction and abstract, and adjusted the title and keywords appropriately. Finally, I submitted it on the morning of New Year's Eve.

In the second review, the first reviewer did not review the paper again. The second reviewer found no issues with the revisions. The third reviewer acknowledged the significant modifications made and accepted the highlighted innovative points. However, they requested further evidence for a specific aspect of the mechanism proposed in the new paragraphs. Additionally, the editor still believed that there were too few references in the introduction. However, I had actually cited twice as many recent references in the performance comparison table.

I made a second round of revisions, adding some calculations to address the concerns of the third reviewer and including more references from the current journal to satisfy the editor. It seems that the paper did not go through another round of review (or the reviewers did not click to review it) and was accepted directly after a wait of over half a month.

First review on January 4, 2022, major revision, the deadline was three weeks, but it was delayed due to the Spring Festival. I sent two letters to the editor before the deadline, asking for an extension, but the editor ignored them. Initially, I submitted the revised manuscript and then delayed the submission date. The editor found six reviewers, which seemed crazy. I only responded with about 20 pages. One of the reviewers was from Korea and another from India. They directly requested citations of their papers, which were not relevant and of poor quality. My initial reaction was to confront them, but then I decided against it because I am a newcomer and had previously been maliciously rejected for confronting someone.
Revised manuscript returned on February 21, 2022

Minor revisions for the second review on March 14, 2022. The reviewer seemed to be European and somewhat eccentric, insisting on changing American spelling to British spelling. However, they raised a very profound question, and after contemplating, I realized the brilliance of it. The revised manuscript addressed this point.
The submission system showed receipt for the second review on March 17, 2022
Rejected on March 19, 2022, because the student uploaded a PDF, and the journal required an editable file.
Uploaded an editable file on March 20, 2022
Accepted on March 23, 2022.
