Aims and Scope
Neural Computation is uniquely positioned at the crossroads between neuroscience and TMCS and welcomes the submission of original papers from all areas of TMCS, including: Advanced experimental design; Analysis of chemical sensor data; Connectomic reconstructions; Analysis of multielectrode and optical recordings; Genetic data for cell identity; Analysis of behavioral data; Multiscale models; Analysis of molecular mechanisms; Neuroinformatics; Analysis of brain imaging data; Neuromorphic engineering; Principles of neural coding, computation, circuit dynamics, and plasticity; Theories of brain function.

This journal is highly recognized in the field of neural networks, with less than eighty articles published in a year, making it very difficult to get published. Hinton published two foundational papers on deep learning in 2006, one in Nature and the other in NECO, so it is a joke to use low impact factor or low ranking in the Chinese Academy of Sciences to diminish its significance. The Editor-in-Chief is a leading figure in artificial intelligence, a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, and the initial review process is very rigorous, emphasizing originality. The reviewer's comments are very fair, so it is truly not easy to have an article published in this journal.
