The journal "Food Science and Human Wellness" is quite strange. It was originally a Chinese journal that we fully supported. We even cited articles from this journal when writing our own. However, the recent experience of submitting an article to the journal was very unpleasant. During the first review, three reviewers provided their comments after two months. The suggestions were not significant, so we made the revisions accordingly. Surprisingly, during the second review, two new reviewers were assigned. One of them rejected the article, stating that in vitro experiments cannot represent in vivo results. The editor also rejected it. We wonder why new reviewers were sought during the second review when there were no disagreements in the first review. Additionally, the opinion of the second reviewer was obviously unconvincing, so we question why the editor chose to adopt it. We rarely submit to domestic journals, but we wanted to support them and hoped they would improve. However, this experience was very disappointing. The articles in "Food Science and Human Wellness" also have a significant difference compared to those in "JAFC" and "MNFR." We hope that domestic journals can improve and maintain quality.
