It took six months for the submission to be reviewed. After two months, major revisions were suggested. After one month of making the revisions, it was sent back. Two months later, minor revisions were suggested. After one week of making the revisions, it was sent back again. After half a month, the result was received, and the manuscript was rejected. The reason given was that the English language proficiency was not sufficient, and the fifth issue raised during the minor revisions was not resolved satisfactorily. Additionally, the abstract figure was not acceptable to the reviewers.

Summary: It was a tiring and anticipated process. However, what matters is the process itself, not just the result.

Approximately two months after submission, the results are given. The review comments are very insightful and include many additional experiments. After revising for three weeks, the article is accepted, taking a total of about four months. I have a positive view of this journal, except that the article processing charge (APC) is too expensive at $3500.
