Aims and Scope

Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers (formerly known as Journal of the Chinese Institute of Chemical Engineers) publishes original works, from fundamental principles to practical applications, in the broad field of chemical engineering with special focus on three aspects: Chemical and Biomolecular Science and Technology, Energy and Environmental Science and Technology, and Materials Science and Technology. Authors should choose for their manuscript an appropriate aspect section and a few related classifications when submitting to the journal online.

3.22 Submission, 3.28 Under review with editor, 5.4 Major revision requested, 6.6 Submission of revised manuscript, 6.9 Minor revision requested, 6.12 Acceptance. This is my first SCI paper. I am very happy, the efficiency of my Taiwanese colleagues is really high. Two reviewers provided 23 comments, they were very meticulous, even pointing out spelling errors. I have seen previous articles receive review comments in as little as 19 days. I am grateful for the efforts of the reviewers and Professor Chen Donghuang from National Cheng Kung University. I will support this journal again if given the opportunity.

Direction of Absorption of Acidic Gases under review for almost 6 months. The reviewer should provide at least 7 comments, but only gave two. One comment says there are no tables (which is ridiculous, as my article clearly has three tables). The other comment says some statements need to be supported by references (and he provided an example). I can't believe it anymore. The review process is too slow. It has been almost half a year and there is no substantial feedback. Can't they just reject it earlier?
