Any additional information about diagnosing and prognosticating AD is critical. It will be beneficial to have a bigger sample size and increase the power assessing this biomarker.
This study was well done to identify those gaps and a good example of a cross sectional study to either study further and/or develop programs for care homes to be more aware of hearing and vision care that impact this population. It is assessing further how care can be expanded and other gaps.
We know the demand for mental health services was increasing even before the pandemic. It is important for transparency in which it may not be managed well and that there is room for critical improvement to help people address their mental health and bridge that gap in disparity in access.
I feel the use of these devices has certainly increased. And I would assume that the wearable devices have only improved in accuracy in the years since. With the focus being so heavily on COVID-19, resources have gone there and for a lack of a better word, other outcomes seemed to have been ignored specifically those that are infectious. Understandable of course, but this paper demonstrates that data for other diseases are now lacking and makes it hard to gain more resources for something like TB. So there is more attention needed for other outcomes impacted by COVID-19.
