Innovative Food Science and Emerging Technologies (IFSET) aims to provide the highest quality original contributions and few, mainly upon invitation, reviews on and highly innovative developments in food science and emerging food process technologies. The significance of the results either for the science community or for industrial R&D groups must be specified. Papers submitted must be of highest scientific quality and only those advancing current scientific knowledge and understanding or with technical relevance will be considered.

Although the article has been accepted, this submission was the most frustrating one.

2022/09/07 Major revision by two reviewers
2022/09/23 Under review again, and the nightmare began. The reviewers finished their review in a week, but the editor went missing. After one month, we had to remind them.
2022/11/04 Minor revision (one word error) Manuscript returned on the same day, but the editor went missing again. So we had to remind them on 2022/11/22. Unexpectedly,
2022/11/24 Major revision The editor unexpectedly reviewed the manuscript again.
2022/11/28 We submitted the revised manuscript and it remained with the editor. We had to remind them on 2022/12/10, and surprisingly,
2022/12/13 Minor revision The editor thought one of the highlights was not significant and requested its removal!!!
In the final submission, it remained with the editor again, and this time we had to remind them after a week.
2022/12/23 Accepted
The editor is Dallas G. Hoover!!! If we didn't remind, nothing would have been done! A very unpleasant submission experience!

The supervisor has not submitted any papers to SCI since joining. The student will translate it themselves, and the institution will proofread it. Submission will be made on May 15th, and minor revisions will be made in mid-June (one reviewer has no comments, while another has four minor comments that can be addressed). The revised version will be submitted on July 4th, and it will be accepted on July 5th.
