Interesting use of fluorescent dyes to distinguish fake alcohol. German scientists in this article came up[ with fluorescent dyes that can distinguish fae alcohol from already existing known alcohol sample. I can almost see this becoming an alcohol testing kit and being sold on Amazon!
I wonder if smoking, especially nicotine, makes you a better singer. While the majority of singers abstain from it, saying this ruins their vocal cords, there are exceptions who think that smoking makes their voice deeper (Adele comes to mind!). More research is needed in this regard.
The differences are probably due to the difference in genetic mutations in each mouse and what those mutations affect. For example, the mutation present in C57Bl6/J mice affects its metabolism while the C57bl6/N mice do not have this issue. There could be a number of other reasons as well such as breeding method, vendor, any environmental impact, etc.
Couldn't read the entire article but it will be interesting to see how the cancer cells break away from their primary source/location; and how the tumor microenvironment facilitates this...
