Summary: The study evaluated the effects of Azotobacter sp. inoculation on Iranian licorice plants under salt stress. The results showed that bacterial inoculation increased carotenoid content and mitigated salt stress. Anatomical observations of leaf structure revealed a decrease in stomatal density and an increase in trichome density under salt stress.

Summary: In this study, the hepatoprotective effects of Gentiana extract (GEN) against ketoconazole (KET)-induced hepatotoxicity were investigated in male Wistar rats. The results showed that GEN reduced liver damage induced by KET, as evidenced by decreased levels of aminotransferase and alpha-fetoprotein in serum and improved hepatic histopathological changes. Furthermore, GEN inhibited oxidative stress induced by KET by reducing lipid peroxidation, protein carbonylation, and oxidative stress in DNA. These findings suggest that GEN's hepatoprotective effects are attributed to its antioxidant properties.
