Summary: The article presents a new strategy to enhance efficiency in complex structure machining by proposing a low-cost five-axis four-linkage milling system as an alternative to the expensive five-axis five-linkage system. Kinematic analysis is used to establish a correlation between tool location data and kinematic axis displacement. An interpolation algorithm is devised to determine a four-axis linkage milling strategy, resulting in reduced theoretical errors in the interpolation trajectory. The practical application of this novel milling strategy proves its effectiveness in processing integral impellers within acceptable efficiency parameters, providing a theoretical foundation for its application in high-precision five-axis five-linkage machine tools.
