Summary: This study proposes a new metal deposition method for 3D wiring on various materials and surfaces. The method uses a micro-plasma bubble injector and a metal ion solution to generate localized reactions and achieve metal deposition independent of the substrate. By changing the metal ion solution, copper, nickel, chromium, cobalt, and zinc deposition is possible. This method opens up possibilities for 3D wiring on wet materials.

Summary: Traditional thrombolytic therapeutics are limited by poor penetration into thrombi, off-target side effects, and low bioavailability. To overcome these limitations, a biocompatible, fluorescent, magnetic, and well-characterized theranostic platform with multiple targeting modes is developed. This platform allows for remote visualization, magnetic guidance, near-infrared (NIR) phototherapies, and mechanical therapy, resulting in reduced thrombosis residues and no side effects or secondary embolization in a mouse model of thrombosis.

Summary: In this paper, the device tuning accuracy is introduced into the wire-arc deposition model for the first time, establishing a wire-arc stable deposition model in micro-plasma arc directional energy deposition. A well-formed 40-layer curved metal sample with a high material area utilization ratio was achieved using the proposed model and optimized deposition parameters. This study provides theoretical guidance for improving the stability and deposition accuracy in micro-plasma arc freeform fabrication.

Summary: In recent studies, fluorine-saturated yttrium-based coatings have been explored for enhanced material performance in semiconductor processing chambers. Yttrium oxide (Y2O3) and yttrium oxyfluoride (YOF) powders were synthesized using a wet chemical process and coated on an aluminum substrate. The YOF coating demonstrated superior resistance to fluorine-plasma exposure and is recommended for use as a protective material in the semiconductor industry.

Summary: Ceramics, with their high strength and high-temperature resistance, pose difficulties in fabricating complex shapes due to their brittleness. To overcome this, 3D printing technology, particularly photo-polymerization (PP) 3D printing, has been widely studied. This research proposes a novel 3D printing process using a high-viscosity composite resin to maximize the content of zirconia ceramics. The developed 3D printers were able to adjust the process environment, resulting in improved stability and density of the sintered structures. Ceramic parts with high hardness and density were successfully fabricated using a high-viscosity resin.

Summary: The authors present an innovative and rapid process for producing ZrN thin films using a photo-structurable ZrO2 sol-gel and a rapid thermal nitridation (RTN) process. Compared to traditional methods, the sol-gel method allows for the production of ZrN thin films on non-planar and large substrates in a shorter time and at a lower cost. The produced ZrN films were characterized and their optical, electrical, and tribological properties were investigated.

Summary: This research presents a novel Co-modified micro/nano geopolymer (Co-MNG) material that can efficiently activate persulfate for water treatment. The preparation process of Co-MNG is simple, time-saving, and uses solid waste as raw materials. It has minimal adverse effects on the environment and shows good catalytic effects on PDS activation. The addition of different Co-containing compounds can enhance the degradation effect of Co-MNG materials, especially under visible light conditions. Mechanistic research experiments reveal that Co-MNG materials coupled with visible light can effectively activate PDS and achieve synergistic degradation of pollutants in water.

Summary: In this study, thermally evaporated aluminum was used as a hardmask to fabricate silicon microchannels using an ICP-RIE system in SF6/Ar gas mixture. The treated aluminum hardmasks demonstrated high resistance against the etching process, leading to successful fabrication of SiMCs with desired depths. SEM images showed uniform etching on the channel walls and bottom, indicating good etch uniformity for all samples.

Summary: In this study, a solution precursor plasma spray (SPPS) process was used to deposit ZnO coatings on wood surfaces to improve hydrophobicity and color stability. The coatings were mainly composed of ZnO and Zn(OH)(2), exhibiting hydrophobic behaviors. Under UV irradiation, the color change of ZnO-coated wood surfaces decreased by up to 60%.

Summary: The study investigates the dynamic evolution of plasma optical emission from an array of surface micro-discharges, revealing the interaction between co- and counter-propagating streamers resulting in new streamer fronts with altered velocities and intensities. Additionally, the emergence of secondary streamers is attributed to surface charges accumulated during a prior half cycle and turbulence fluctuations dominated by electrohydrodynamic force.

Summary: The mulberry surface developed through nitriding and anodic oxidation showed enhanced antibacterial activity compared to the control, while additional graphene oxide deposition improved biocompatibility and facilitated osteoblast adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. The combination of the mulberry surface and graphene oxide deposition can potentially prevent peri-implantitis and promote osseointegration.
