Aims and Scope

Atmospheric Pollution Research (APR) is an international journal designed for the publication of articles on air pollution. Papers should present novel experimental results, theory and modeling of air pollution on local, regional, or global scales. Areas covered are research on inorganic, organic, and persistent organic air pollutants, air quality monitoring, air quality management, atmospheric dispersion and transport, air-surface (soil, water, and vegetation) exchange of pollutants, dry and wet deposition, indoor air quality, exposure assessment, health effects, satellite measurements, natural emissions, atmospheric chemistry, greenhouse gases, and effects on climate change.

Submitted at the end of May, it took nearly three months to receive a rejection notice. What made me angry the most was that there were two reviewers. One directly rejected it without providing any comments, while the other gave a few suggestions, but their wording was extremely harsh and the raised issues were irrelevant, which was a complete waste of time and affected my mood. Out of frustration, I resubmitted it to RS, where the review feedback was quite positive, and it got accepted within a month.

In an email inquiry about the progress, the editor mentioned that three experts are required to provide review comments, and currently, two experts have completed their reviews, while one is still missing. The speed is indeed too slow.
