Overall, it went quite smoothly, with two rounds of review in between. The journal belongs to the entry-level SCI category and has a certain level of recognition in China. Personally, I feel that its quality is similar to well-known domestic EI journals in the field of electrical engineering, and its speed is relatively fast among SCI journals. As for the concern mentioned in the previous comment about dropping out of SCI, there is no need to worry too much. The impact factor (IF) may not necessarily decrease, as the current IF for the year 2021 is 0.88, and the final result will definitely be improved. SCI does not solely rely on scores.

Seek help from everyone, there is a problem. When I submitted my paper to JPE, Springer required that I must share the article with Research Square, otherwise, I cannot proceed. After successful submission, I received an email from Research Square stating, "if you wish", you can make your submitted paper a preprint and make it publicly available on the platform. I just submitted the article, so I don't know the result yet, but I definitely do not want it to be made public immediately. Can I ignore this and it won't become a preprint, or do I have to contact Research Square to express that I do not want it to become a preprint? Do any teachers or classmates know about this? Please let me know, thank you very much!
