Underwent a major revision and a minor revision during the process
The handling speed of the manuscript was fast, and the editor was very friendly. It could have been accepted even faster.
The first review came back within a month, with three reviewers who provided positive feedback.
The review process after resubmission took longer, around three months, because one of the reviewers did not respond. After sending reminders, the editor proceeded without waiting and requested a minor revision.
One reviewer agreed to accept the paper, while another provided two minor suggestions.
After the second resubmission, the paper was accepted in less than two weeks.
I don't know if this is survivorship bias, but this was my first submission and the process was very smooth and friendly.
I will submit my next paper to this journal as well.
The first review raised many questions, and I wrote a response spanning several pages. There were only a few issues during the second review, and after revisions, it was sent to another reviewer for evaluation. It was only on the third review that it was accepted.
I'm not sure why, but this journal has a very high impact factor.
