Aims and Scope
IET Communications covers the fundamental and generic research for a better understanding of communication technologies to harness the signals for better performing communication systems using various wired and/or wireless media. This Journal is particularly interested in research papers reporting novel solutions to the dominating problems of noise, interference, timing and errors for reduction systems deficiencies such as wasting scarce resources such as spectra, energy and bandwidth.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

Coding and Communication Theory;
Modulation and Signal Design;
Wired, Wireless and Optical Communication;
Communication System

Verified Reviews
Note: Verified reviews are sourced from across review platforms and social media globally.
2022.10.06 First submission.
2022.11.22 Major revision with a total of three reviewers. Reviewer 2 was not very competent and claimed that my research had no significance. The other two reviewers did not question the innovative aspects and provided many suggestions for paper revisions.

2022.12.07 Revisions requested.
2023.01.15 Major revision. Reviewer 2 was replaced, probably with a new Reviewer 2. Both reviewers agreed that the revised version could be accepted directly. However, Reviewer 1 asked me to include a channel encoding experiment because it was not added in the previous revision, only mentioned in the response, and the response was only a brief one.

2023.01.20 Re-submission. I insisted on my choice and did not include the experiment, providing reasons for not including it in the response and presenting simulation results.

2023.02.26 Minor revision. Only Reviewer 1 provided feedback. Reviewer 1 was dissatisfied with me for not including the experiment in the paper and raised doubts about my channel encoding.

2022.02.27 Re-submission. Only made formatting modifications and submitted it. Because I am now more relaxed and not relying on SCI papers to graduate.

2022.04.12 Major revision. Reviewer was very dissatisfied with me because I did not include the experiment in my revised version.

2022.05.11 Re-submission. Included the channel encoding experiment.

2022.05.21 Accepted.

This journal is really slow!!
Submission on 7th May 2021.
Major revision on 22nd June 2021. Three reviewers in total. Reviewers 1 and 3 provided valuable suggestions for revisions. Reviewer 2 was not helpful and seemed like they didn't even read the paper, requesting to cite their own published articles.
Revised version returned on 17th July 2021.
System status changed to "pending recommendation" on 28th October 2021. All reviewers' comments were returned.
Major revision on 26th January 2022. Multiple emails were sent to the editor during the revision period. The pending status finally ended, and reviewers 2 and 3 agreed to accept the paper, while reviewer 1 added three additional questions.
Revised version returned on 31st January 2022.
System status changed to "pending recommendation" on 27th February 2022. All reviewers' comments were returned.

It is really slow, with the second review taking much longer than the first review, lasting a total of six months. The entire review process has now been ongoing for 10 months and has not yet concluded. Those in a hurry to graduate should be cautious about submitting to this journal!
