Verified Reviews
Note: Verified reviews are sourced from across review platforms and social media globally.
In the second round, I still received a major revision, and then I sent it back to the reviewers. After the second round of review, the editor changed it to minor, which took about 10 days. If you received a major revision instead of an accept with minor in the previous round, it is highly likely that it still needs to be reviewed by the reviewers. Of course, it is not ruled out that the editor may decide not to send it to the reviewers directly (I had a previous experience with Ecological Economics where the editor decided not to send it back to the reviewers and gave me an accept with minor directly after a major revision). The email I received stated that the paper can be accepted for publication after revising according to the reviewers' suggestions. This means that after revising and resubmitting, it can be accepted without further review. However, if you receive a separate request for a major revision, then you will need to make further changes and go through another round of review, but it is not certain whether it will be sent to the reviewers.

The major revision was submitted on September 9, 2022 and has not changed until February 20, 2023. The status has always been "editor assigned". Starting from December, I have been sending monthly reminder emails, with the last one sent on the 20th (in an urgent tone). On the 21st, the status changed to "editor invited". On the 25th, it changed to "editor assigned" again. It has been a week and it has remained in this status. I don't know why the efficiency of this journal has been very low in the past six months, and everything depends on luck. I have previously submitted to this journal, and although the efficiency was not high, it would be completed in less than six months. Now, if you're lucky, it may take a little over half a year, but if you're unlucky, like me this time, it took half a year just for the major revision to be assigned to someone for processing. Be cautious when submitting, my friends. This is my last time submitting to this journal. Good luck to everyone.
