Summary: This study reveals that Serine-arginine rich splicing factor 3 (SRSF3) plays a crucial role in the processing of miR-17-92 cluster miRNAs in pluripotent and cancer cells. SRSF3 binding to CNNC motifs downstream of Drosha cleavage sites is required for efficient processing of the cluster. The interaction between SRSF3 and miR-17-92 results in changes in RNA structure and an increase in miR-17 and miR-20a levels, promoting self-renewal and contributing to colorectal cancer pathogenesis.

Summary: This systematic review discusses the roles of microRNAs (miRNAs) in melanoma immunotherapy, including regulating immune cell functions, affecting drug resistance, and influencing the effectiveness and adverse events of checkpoint inhibitors. It also explores the application of miRNAs in different immunotherapy approaches.

Summary: IRE1 plays a role in miRNA regulation during ER stress. The presence of an IRE1 inhibitor significantly increases the levels of pre-miR-301a and pre-miR-106b. Additionally, miR-301a-3p targets the proapoptotic protein GADD45A. Target protection for miR-301a-3p during ER stress promotes cell death in airway epithelial cells.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the role of tumor-suppressive circRNA circAAGAB in breast cancer. The findings suggest that circAAGAB, which is stabilized by interacting with RNA binding protein FUS, acts as a tumor suppressor by up-regulating the expression of KIAA1522, NKX3-1, and JADE3 through miR-378 h sponge. The results showed that circAAGAB reduced cell colony formation, cell migration, and signaling through the p38 MAPK pathway, as well as increased radiosensitivity.

Summary: The study revealed differential expression of miRNAs in cAMP-treated Schwann cells, with upregulation of miRNA363-5p targeting P2X purinoceptor 4 (P2RX4). The study suggests a double-negative feedback loop between miRNA363-5p and P2RX4 contributes to Schwann cell dedifferentiation and migration after nerve injury. Additionally, a P2RX4 antagonist was found to counteract myelin degradation after nerve injury, further increasing the levels of miRNA363-5p.

Summary: Prostate cancer is a common male neoplasm and is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men. Traditional diagnosis of prostate cancer relies on prostate secreted antigen (PSA) evaluation, but false positives are common, making additional tests necessary. This study explores the role of miR-153 in controlling cell growth and invasion in high Gleason Score prostate cancer, and suggests that miR-153 could serve as a circulating biomarker for diagnosis.

Summary: This study found that the RNA binding protein CSDE1 controls the expression of miR-451 in erythroleukemia cells by binding to it. CSDE1 regulates the processing of pre-miR-451 by AGO2 through its N-terminal domains. CSDE1 also interacts with PARN to promote the trimming of intermediate miR-451 to its mature length. These results demonstrate that CSDE1 promotes the biogenesis of miR-451 in erythroid progenitors.

Summary: This study evaluated the alteration of miR-200c, miR-125b, miR-27b, miR-203, and miR-155 in patients with coronary artery stenosis and insignificant coronary artery stenosis compared to healthy individuals. The results showed that three of these miRNAs have the potential to differentiate between coronary artery stenosis patients and healthy individuals, suggesting they could be novel diagnostic biomarkers.

Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of miR-17 similar to 92 cluster members in CLL patients. The study provides new evidence regarding the heterogeneity of miR-17 similar to 92 cluster members' expression in CLL patients. High miR-20a expression can be considered an independent favorable prognostic factor.

Summary: We investigated the association between circulating microRNAs and fibrosis development in COVID-19-related ARDS survivors. miR-17-5p, miR-223-3p, and miR-146a-5p were significantly down-regulated in patients with fibrosis-like lesions. Our results support the hypothesis that NLRP3-Inflammasome could be implicated in the process of fibrotic evolution of COVID-19-associated ARDS.
