Summary: The Al-doped cobalt ferrite nanofiber was prepared by electrospinning technique and characterized by XRD and TEM. The magnetic properties were investigated using M-H hysteresis loops analysis and "Law of Approach to Saturation" technique. The results showed that the saturation magnetization and coercivity decreased with the increase in Al concentration. The Al-doped cobalt ferrite nanofiber exhibited a squeezing effect on the M-H loop and soft magnetic nature.

Summary: In this study, a new analytical method using magnetic headspace adsorptive microextraction (M-HS-AME) followed by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is presented for the determination of hexanal and heptanal in saliva samples as lung cancer biomarkers. The method utilizes a neodymium magnet to hold the magnetic sorbent in the headspace of a microtube to extract the volatilized aldehydes. The method showed good analytical features and was successfully applied to differentiate between healthy volunteers and lung cancer patients, highlighting its potential as a diagnostic tool for lung cancer by saliva analysis.

Summary: This study investigated the optimal conditions for extracting boar taint compounds from pork fat samples. Results showed that heating backfat at 450 degrees C under reduced pressure yielded the highest concentrations of indole and skatole, while heating at 300 degrees C under reduced pressure resulted in the highest concentration of androstenone. Oxidation products were most abundant in air conditions, nitrogenated products appeared in a nitrogen-enriched atmosphere, and the headspace concentration of molecules intrinsic to boar fat increased with reduced pressure.

Summary: A core-shell film (CA@C-D) with low sensitivity and high energy was designed and fabricated using coaxial electrospinning technology. This film has significantly lower electrostatic and flame sensitivity compared to raw copper azide (CA) material and can detonate secondary explosives. The core-shell structure and superior thermal and electrical conductivity of the carbon shell are responsible for the improved performance.
