Summary: This study found that hsa_circ_0006732 is highly expressed in colorectal cancer and plays a role in promoting cancer cell proliferation, migration, and invasion through regulation of the miR-127-5p/RAB3D axis. Therefore, hsa_circ_0006732 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of colorectal cancer.

Summary: This study reveals a novel mechanism by which EMT-CRC cells promote metastasis by increasing blood vessel permeability and facilitating the generation of CTCs through the transfer of exosomal miR-27b-3p. The upregulation of miR-27b-3p in CRC tissues and its positive correlation with malignant progression and CTC count in CRC patients suggest that exosomal miR-27b-3p may become a promising biomarker for CRC metastasis.

Summary: MiR-3614-5p is associated with colorectal cancer, with low expression predicting poor survival rate and correlating with N, M, pathologic stage, neoplasm type, and lymphatic invasion. High expression enriches the P53 pathway and enhances NK T cell activation.

Summary: This study aims to explore the diagnostic and prognostic value of plasma miRNA in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients and establish a prognostic model. The results showed that miR-96/miR-99b can be used as a promising biomarker for early detection of metastatic CRC (mCRC) patients, and the nomogram based on 5 characteristics has satisfactory prognostic value.

Summary: The study found that circulating miR-449a levels were significantly decreased in CRC patients compared to healthy controls, and low miR-449a levels were significantly associated with CEA and CA19-9 levels as well as a lower 5-year overall survival rate. Low circulating miR-449a levels were also identified as an independent risk factor for CRC.

Summary: miR-27b is highly expressed in endothelial cells and plays a crucial role in regulating inflammatory pathways, cell cycle, apoptosis, and mitochondrial oxidative imbalances. miR-27b mimic can counteract the cytotoxicity and inflammation caused by TNF-alpha, as well as restore mitochondrial function. Mechanistically, miR-27b targets FOXO1 to achieve its functions.

Summary: This study revealed the involvement of a novel circECE1/miR-588/RAB3D axis in osteosarcoma (OS) progression. The expression of circECE1 was found to be higher in OS compared to normal chondroma tissues. High levels of circECE1 were positively correlated with OS cell viability, proliferation, migration, and invasion, and negatively correlated with OS cell apoptosis rate. Furthermore, the study demonstrated that circECE1 interacts with miR-588 to regulate the pathological process of OS through its target gene RAB3D. Silencing circECE1 inhibited OS tumor growth in vivo.

Summary: Accumulating evidence suggests that lncRNAs play important roles as potential biomarkers and regulators in tumor development and progression. This study identifies FAM222A-AS1 as an upregulated lncRNA in colorectal cancer (CRC) and demonstrates its role in promoting CRC progression through inhibiting the miR-let-7f/MYH9 axis. The findings provide a novel therapeutic target for CRC treatment.
