Summary: This study found that Helicobacter pylori can induce the upregulation of circMAN1A2 in gastric cancer cells, and the downregulation of circMAN1A2 can inhibit the growth and invasion of gastric cancer cells. Furthermore, circMAN1A2 promotes the progression of H. pylori-induced gastric cancer by regulating the expression of MTA2. This study suggests that circMAN1A2 may be a potential diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for gastric cancer.

Summary: The specific circRNA circHAS2 was upregulated in gastric cancer tissues and cells, and was positively correlated with tumor metastasis. Knockdown of circHAS2 or addition of hsa-miR-944 mimics inhibited proliferation, migration, and invasion of GC cells. The circHAS2/hsa-miR-944/PPM1E axis may be involved in the progression of GC, suggesting circHAS2 as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for GC.

Summary: The circRNA hsa_circ_0000437 was found to play a significant role in gastric cancer progression, promoting cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and apoptosis resistance. It was also found to induce lymph node metastasis through the HSPA2-ERK signaling pathway. Clinical data showed that hsa_circ_0000437 was enriched in the serum of gastric cancer patients and was associated with lymph node metastasis. These findings suggest that hsa_circ_0000437 may serve as a potential biomarker for lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer patients.

Summary: Gastric cancer is closely related to environmental factors such as chronic infection with Helicobacter pylori, and high-throughput genome and transcriptome analysis has provided insights into its molecular mechanisms. However, data on circRNA expression in gastric cancer remains inconsistent, requiring further investigation. CircRNA could potentially serve as biomarkers and therapeutic targets for gastric cancer, yet more experiments are needed for clinical application.

Summary: In this study, the expression profile of circular RNA (cRNA) in gastric cancer tissues and plasma was explored as a potential molecular marker for gastric cancer detection. The expression profile of cRNA in normal gastric tissue was also investigated. The results showed that certain circRNAs have distinct expression patterns in the plasma and tissues of gastric cancer patients, and a quantitative RT ddPCR approach was developed to identify circRNAs associated with clinicopathological factors and prognosis. The study provides new insights into the diagnostic and prognostic potential of circRNAs in gastric cancer, and a dye-based RT ddPCR method is shown to be an effective and economical technique for plasma circRNA detection.

Summary: The study revealed that hsa_circ_0001020 is significantly upregulated in GC cell lines, tissue samples, and plasma, showing associations with distal metastasis and blood CA19-9. High hsa_circ_0001020 expression in GC patients correlated with decreased survival time, indicating its potential as an independent prognostic factor. The circRNA demonstrated superior screening potential as a biomarker for GC compared to traditional markers like CEA and CA19-9, and may provide insights into oncogenic pathways like the FoxO and p53 signaling pathways.
