Summary: Chronic wounds have a significant impact on individuals, healthcare systems, and societies worldwide. This study aimed to characterize the differences between acute and chronic wounds regarding angiogenesis, inflammation, and extracellular matrix (ECM) formation and degradation. The results suggest that chronic wounds show increased levels of MMP9 and absence of TGF-beta target gene regulation, indicating the presence of a TGF-beta inhibitor. Increased expression of BAMBI suggests its potential regulatory role in the development of chronic wounds.

Summary: This study identified necroptosis-related genes (NRGs) in soft tissue sarcomas (STSs) and found their potential role in prognosis. The results showed that the risk score based on the necroptosis-related gene signature could serve as an independent prognostic factor and could also predict immune infiltration. Furthermore, the necroptosis-related gene signature was validated in other malignancies, indicating its potential as a prognostic indicator in different types of cancer.

Summary: Soft tissue sarcomas are rare and aggressive cancers with high risks and poor prognosis. The tumor microenvironment (TME) and hypoxia have critical roles in tumor development. This study aimed to investigate whether linking hypoxia-related parameters to TME cells could improve prognosis and treatment outcomes. The Hypoxia-TME classifier was constructed and found to correctly classify patients based on prognosis and immune type. Moreover, specific immunotherapy and chemotherapy programs were provided. Several key genes were identified for further research. The Hypoxia-TME classifier demonstrated pretreatment predictive value for prognosis and therapeutic outcome, offering new approaches to therapy strategizing.

Summary: By studying m(1)A RNA modification in normal and oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R) treated mouse neurons, we found that OGD/R increased the number of m(1)A-modified RNAs, and m(1)A modification may affect the regulatory mechanisms of noncoding RNAs and the translation of circRNAs. The systematic analysis of m(1)A landscape provides a critical foundation for understanding RNA modification and offers new perspectives and theoretical basis for treating and developing drugs for OGD/R pathology-related diseases.
