Summary: The rapid onset of action of nifedipine can cause a sudden decrease in blood pressure, resulting in adverse effects related to sympathetic nervous system activation. However, there are currently no approved modified release formulations of nifedipine for pediatric use, leading to a lack of pharmacokinetic data in this population. The use of pharmacokinetic modeling, particularly physiological-based pharmacokinetics (PBPK), has revolutionized the ability to predict drug pharmacokinetics in children and support drug licensing and dosing.

Summary: By synthesizing formative evaluations from interventions in Ethiopia, Myanmar, Nigeria, and Pakistan, the study highlights the importance of community engagement in increasing child vaccination rates. Factors such as low knowledge about vaccination schedules and the crucial of timeliness were identified as barriers, while frontline health workers played a critical role in community engagement approaches.

Summary: The study aimed to reduce inappropriate in-hospital prescribing by identifying and addressing challenges in appropriate prescribing through a prescriber-focused participatory action intervention led by a multidisciplinary pharmacotherapy team. While there was a trend towards a reduction in prescribing errors, the intervention did not result in a statistically significant decrease in inappropriate prescribing.

Summary: This paper describes the development of an elbow-wrist telerehabilitation system for individuals with neurological conditions. The system has two modes of operation and can potentially adopt 5G technology in the future. With a low development cost, it fulfills the requirements of a telerehabilitation system in Malaysia and allows rehabilitation to be performed at home with long-term monitoring.

Summary: The rapid growth and complexity of conversational agents have highlighted the need for suitable evaluation tools to describe their performance. We analyzed the impact of changing the order of utterances in conversations on system performance and found that different orders can result in completely different performance rankings. Based on these observations, we propose a new evaluation approach to enhance the effectiveness of evaluation tools.

Summary: Educators have recently faced significant changes in the classroom, where teachers are seen as mediators between students and educational environments, and students have an active role in their own learning process. This study focuses on the use of peer correction strategies, where students give and receive feedback on English speaking mistakes in the classroom, aiming to improve their autonomy, interaction, and participation. Findings from classroom observations and a focus group with eight adolescent students from a Mexican educational institute show how students apply these strategies in their learning process and their comfort in utilizing peer correction strategies in the classroom.
