By linking your teaching and research, you can improve both your scholarly work and your students' learning outcomes. It can also help you to share your research results, reach out to broader audiences, and establish new partnerships.

One way that I connect research and teaching are by providing examples to learners. Some of these examples are from specific sources, studies and/or my personal and professional experiences. I've found that it's a best practice in teaching to connect examples to aid in understanding of the material, application of the material and it tends to foster self-reflection.
