Aims and Scope

Studies in Applied Mathematics explores the interplay between mathematics and the applied disciplines. It publishes papers that advance the understanding of physical processes, or develop new mathematical techniques applicable to physical and real-world problems. Its main themes include (but are not limited to) nonlinear phenomena, mathematical modeling, integrable systems, asymptotic analysis, inverse problems, numerical analysis, dynamical systems, scientific computing and applications to areas such as fluid mechanics, mathematical biology, and optics.

The journal of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is very authoritative. It publishes a small number of articles each year, around 60. I had previously submitted an article which was rejected, and this is a submission for another journal. Two reviewers and an editor reviewed my article, and their feedback was very professional. It was evident that they were experts in the field. After making revisions for a month, the article was sent back, and it was accepted a month later.
