SEDIMENTOLOGY

The journal recommended by the boss has a fast editing and review speed. After submitting the manuscript for the first time, a decision was received more than 40 days later, requesting revisions and resubmission. Before Christmas, the revised manuscript was resubmitted, and on February 27th, the editor received the reviewer's comments. The editor apologized to the author for the delay in response from the reviewer. The revised manuscript was submitted in mid-March, and a week later, an acceptance notice was received.

Sedimentology is a strict and professional journal of sedimentology. The reviewers are also strict and professional. However, the associate editor raised some very unprofessional and narrow-minded questions to me. The review process became enjoyable after citing five papers from the associate editor for reference.

Submitted in August, I received a response from the editor after three days. They provided three main suggestions for revisions and advised me to make the changes one by one before resubmitting. By December 6th, the modifications were completed and I submitted the revised version. However, it is still in the review process, and the outcome is unknown.
