Mechanical brothers in distress. The impact factor (IF) is really too low. If we can't get published in journals like ATE under Elsevier, we can only submit to the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in the UK and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Unfortunately, both options are too slow and the IF is ridiculously low. The review process usually takes around five months for journals in the fourth quartile, and it's not guaranteed to even make it to the third quartile in our lifetime.

The luck is quite good, and the acceptance is very fast. The editing process is also quick now.
Submitted on February 21, 2022.
Major revisions on March 14, 2022, but it actually feels like minor revisions.
Revised again on March 26, 2022.
Accepted on April 9, 2022.
In total, it took less than two months for acceptance. However, the online publication process is relatively slow, taking around 0.5-2 months, and the final publication requires another half year of waiting.
