Magazine evaluation: For students, this magazine is very good and not easy to get published in. In my opinion, it is probably slightly lower than ORL, Annals OR, and similar to Opt L. Some experts have published papers in this magazine in the past, but there have been very few recently. For professors from universities ranked 211 and above, this magazine is considered average.

Submission experience:
4 months and 10 days for initial revision
2 months and 1 week for our revision
Less than 4 months for second revision
Less than 2 months for further revision
Accepted after one month
From submission to acceptance, it took a total of about 1 year and 1 month, which can be considered relatively smooth. There was a message every 4 months on average during this time. Shortly after, it went online, and a few months later, the issue was published. This period of time was very fast.

First: j. inequ. appl., j. appl. math., j. fixed point theo. appl. These journals are considered spam because of their fast review process, high acceptance rate, open access, and even charging fees. Is a journal like OPTIMIZATION both open access and charging fees? Can one get accepted with just one submission?

Second: Please check the level of the editorial board of this journal.

Third: This journal has published many classic results, such as an article on nonlinear bilevel programming problems in 1995, which has been cited by top journals such as SIAM JCO, SIAM JO, TAC, JGO, Math comp.

If the above three points cannot convince you, I can only doubt you and the two professors...
