A self-written review article was submitted without being invited. The editor-in-chief asked if it was an invited review, and after knowing that it was not, I was asked to provide some research foundation of my team in this area. The first review process took about a month, and the first revision took two months due to many comments from two reviewers and conflicts with the application time for the National Natural Science Foundation. The second review had one reviewer suggesting acceptance, while the other reviewer provided several more comments. After two weeks of revision, it was accepted three days later. It is important to write a good initial draft and respond carefully to the reviewer's comments. This journal is an established one, with a moderate impact factor but still reputable and relatively stable.
