When I was studying for my PhD in 2015, my first article in SCI was published in this journal. This journal has a very high reputation and is very ambitious, but the reviewers are extremely difficult to deal with. They require a complete derivation and analysis process, as well as verification of source code and raw data, and they also require theoretical innovation. In short, it took nearly 8 months from submission to publication, and I had to provide almost 200 pages of supporting materials and validation data, which gave me a psychological shadow when submitting papers later on. However, it cannot be denied that this well-established journal is indeed rigorous in academic research, and the reviewers have a very high level of expertise. But this journal is also very stubborn, so it is understandable that its influence was surpassed by the American JCTC later on. Overall, seeing this situation still makes me feel quite regretful.

This magazine obviously belongs to the field of computational chemistry, so why was it categorized under general chemistry? It's a strange and unfair treatment, showing a lack of expertise. In the field of computational chemistry, journals like JCC, JCP, and JPC are considered to be on the same level, and the quality of their articles is generally acceptable. It's unfortunate that this magazine has been unfairly criticized.
