Aims and Scope
Published monthly, ACS Nano is an international forum for the communication of comprehensive articles on nanoscience and nanotechnology research at the interfaces of chemistry, biology, materials science, physics, and engineering. Moreover, the journal helps facilitate communication among scientists from these research communities in developing new research opportunities, advancing the field through new discoveries, and reaching out to scientists at all levels.
ACS Nano publishes comprehensive articles on synthesis, assembly, characterization, theory, and simulation of nanostructures (nanomaterials and assemblies, nanodevices, and self-assembled structures), nanobiotechnology, nanofabrication, methods and tools for nanoscience and nanotechnology, and self- and directed-assembly.
In addition to comprehensive, original research articles, ACS Nano offers thorough reviews, perspectives on cutting-edge research, conversations with nanoscience and nanotechnology thought leaders, and discussions of topics that provide distinctive views about the future of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

23.1.6 Major revision (1 minor revision, 1 rejection) - Major revision requested on January 6, 2023 (with 1 minor revision and 1 rejection)
23.3.23 Returned for revision, revision letter included over 10,000 words and added numerous experiments - Returned for revision on March 23, 2023, with a revision letter consisting of over 10,000 words and the addition of multiple experiments
23.4.19 Rejected, the reviewers raised several foolish questions that they believed we couldn't address... I found the questions easy to refute, they clearly didn't carefully read the paper - Rejected on April 19, 2023. The reviewers who rejected the paper raised a few foolish questions that they believed we couldn't address... I found the questions easy to refute, indicating they didn't carefully read the paper.
I am truly speechless. Despite half a year of back and forth, it was ultimately rejected. I feel the second reviewer didn't have a good understanding of this field but still provided many comments, which is truly disappointing.
Received revision requirements on May 15, 2021, with two minor revisions, one major revision, and one rejection. The reviewers were extremely meticulous and professional, providing seventy to eighty suggestions.
Returned on July 31, 2021, conducted experiments for an additional two and a half months, and wrote a nearly forty thousand-word response letter. The experiments addressed all the reviewers' concerns. The rejection was due to language issues, so it was sent back for language revision (although there were no significant language problems, the reviewers disliked emotionally-charged words).
Received revision requirements again on August 26, 2021, with two reviewers agreeing, the major revision reviewer providing another major revision, and a request from the rejection reviewer to delete a few words. Additionally, a new reviewer was assigned for minor revisions.
Returned on September 15, 2021, and the next day, the editor submitted it for review.
Accepted for pre-publication on September 18, 2021, formatting was adjusted, and it was officially accepted three days later.
