Aims and Scope
Angewandte Chemie, a journal of the German Chemical Society, with its excellent Impact Factor of 12.257 (2018) is maintaining its leading position among the general chemistry journals. It appears weekly in a highly optimized, reader-friendly format; new articles appear online almost every day. Founded in 1887, it is today one of the prime chemistry journals in the world (see timeline), with an Impact Factor higher than those of comparable journals.

Moreover, it is the only journal in the field delivering a stimulating mixture of Review-type articles, Highlights, Communications, and Research Articles weekly. The Reviews summarize the important results of recent research on topical subjects in all branches of chemistry, point to unresolved problems, and discuss possible developments. The Highlights provide concise evaluations of current trends in chemical research. The Communications and Research Articles are critically selected and report on the latest research results, making the journal indispensable to the chemist who wants to stay well informed. Angewandte Chemie also regularly publishes Nobel lectures in chemistry and related fields.

Very efficient submission. Thanks to Associate Editor Mathias Wiechen for the support and the two reviewers for their revision comments. I received the major revision comments on the sixth day of being infected with COVID-19. Despite the difficulties, I overcame them and finally completed the revisions. This paper was done by myself, without any co-first authors, co-corresponding authors, or collaborating institutions. I didn't rely on any famous names, but solely on my own abilities to publish it!

First submission to JACS on April 25th, 2023. Surprisingly, it took 17 days in the hands of the senior editor without being sent for review.
Changed submission to Angew on May 11th, 2023. Under review within a week.
Received comments on June 9th, 2023. It went through arbitration and was rejected and resubmitted after major and minor revisions. Luckily, the editor gave the opportunity for resubmission.
Resubmitted after experiment modifications on July 6th, 2023.
Received comments on July 31st, 2023. All reviewers agreed to accept, but the editor raised a few formatting issues.
Revised and resubmitted in the middle of the night on July 3rd, in revision.
Accepted on August 1st, 2023, and soon after went online.
The submission process was somewhat stressful, and I often visited the forum to read about others' submission experiences. As a small researcher, I was very lucky to have my work recognized. It was fortunate that I had the courage to start from scratch. In answering questions, I also experienced the enlightenment of persevering. I wish Angew continued success!
