Old cell biology journal, slightly inferior to JCB in the field of cell biology, with many high-quality articles. There are very few articles by Chinese authors. Our group was accepted a few years ago, but this time it was directly rejected. It feels like the editors put too much emphasis on the novelty of the research. If it's not new enough, the requirements may be similar to JCB. Why submit to this journal when JCB can review our work? This journal rejected it within 24 hours, speechless.
