Verified Reviews
Note: Verified reviews are sourced from across review platforms and social media globally.
The first author of this journal has submitted three articles:
1. The first one was miraculously fast, taking less than half a year from submission to acceptance.
2. The second one was rejected by the EIC Desk in either 16 or 18 days.
3. The third one took much longer, with a total of one and a half years for acceptance after three rounds of review.
Recently, I have frequently seen Desk Rejections from TBME. Personally, I believe that TBME is trying to differentiate itself from the journals TMI and JBHI, especially in terms of medical imaging papers, which have significantly decreased. It is unfortunate that in the past two years, due to missing out on the fast development of AI for Medicine, TBME's impact factor has not improved and has been surpassed by JBHI by quite a lot. It is quite regrettable.

The IEEE submission status change information is relatively minimal compared to some journals from Elsevier, which are more detailed. The status can change from submission to receiving revisions or being rejected. On March 29th, the submission status was "Under review," with ADM (Admin) and TBME. On April 7th, the status remained "Under review," but the ADM changed to a specific person (Editor's name). It is unclear what it means for the ADM to change from Admin to a specific person, and the current status is unknown. I hope experienced individuals can share their insights.
