Aims and Scope

The goal of Journal of Neural Engineering (JNE) is to act as a forum for the interdisciplinary field of neural engineering where neuroscientists, neurobiologists and engineers can publish their work in one periodical that bridges the gap between neuroscience and engineering. The journal publishes articles in the field of neural engineering at the molecular, cellular and systems levels.

The journal is definitely a good journal, not to mention the content, the requirements for English language, writing style, and format are all very strict. The opinions of the two reviewers mainly focus on the format and grammar issues in lengthy discussions. Furthermore, emphasis is placed on innovation, and if there are similar papers, it is important to highlight one's own innovative aspects. But to be honest, the two reviewers are probably not experts in this field, as they have no substantial constructive suggestions for my methodology. One of them also has a bad attitude, maybe because the paper did not leave a good impression on him. In conclusion, it is still a challenging journal, and I need to improve myself to meet its standards.

The review process is fast, with feedback given within two months. There were two reviewers, one being highly professional and providing many suggestions, while the other seemed less thorough. Strangely, both reviewers seemed to have access to each other's comments and raised similar questions. Overall, the efficiency of the journal is very high, and the impact factor has increased this year. It is worth submitting to.
