I recently submitted a review article to this journal, discussing the application of a new material. It is comprehensive, not only covering chemistry but also other disciplines. This type of article usually receives high citations after publication. The most important thing is that parts of the content in this article have already been industrialized. We have registered a company and started making money. Therefore, this article will have a significant impact both in academia and in practical applications in the future. It doesn't matter where I submit it, as long as it gets published. However, out of support for domestic journals and because the chief editor, Academician Ma, has taught me before and is my mentor, my first choice is the Chinese Journal of Chemistry (CJC), even though it was only a third-tier journal with a relatively low impact factor at the time of submission. What surprised me was that it was not even sent for review. I then switched to Science Bulletin, which received two positive and one negative reviews after review. I then switched again to the Chinese Chemical Letters (CCL), which received four positive reviews and was accepted for publication. The future impact of this article is promising, and the loss is on the journal that did not accept it, not on me. With my current influence, it is not difficult for me to write a review article and publish it in a reputable international journal. However, my first choice is domestic journals. Based on this example, the editorial appreciation ability of CJC needs improvement. In addition, less than a month after its publication in CCL, we received a notification from Elsevier that it had won the Best Research Award, indicating that our work has been recognized by international peers.

Based on this example, the editorial discernment of CJC needs improvement.
