Actually, I have submitted the manuscript for a while and I thought it would be good to share it with everyone for reference.

Below is my specific submission process:
Submitted the manuscript on June 20, 2023.
Technical review displayed on June 20, 2023.
Received the first reply for technical review on June 29, 2023.
Passed the technical review on July 1, 2023.
Submission under peer review displayed on July 1, 2023.
Revision received on July 4, 2023.
Submission under peer review on July 5, 2023.
Until today, the status has not changed.

Let me share my thoughts. Firstly, this journal is open-access, and the price is relatively cheaper compared to other open-access journals. Open-access has its pros and cons for researchers. If the project funding is sufficient, open-access is more beneficial. Regarding the peer review process, they pay special attention to the materials and methods, especially the rationality of the materials. For example, whether the plant materials are rare species and whether there is qualification for research need to be explained. This is my first time submitting to this journal, and I had to make three revisions. The editorial team is responsible. They say that 5 points is a turning point, and some people say that the impact factor of this journal will decrease next year. I don't think so. The rigorous attitude of this journal already indicates that it will only get better and won't decrease.

In early November 2020, the editor returned and requested additional detailed information to be included.
Revised on December 2, 2020 (major revision, with 3 reviewers, expert opinions greatly helped improve the paper).
Revised again on December 26, 2020.
Revised again on February 6, 2021 (one reviewer provided a few minor suggestions).
Revised again on February 10, 2021.
Minor revision on February 25, 2021, mainly due to a few sentences in the materials and methods section that were found to be repetitive with a previously published paper. Plagiarism check is strict, so it is advised not to use sentences from previously published articles.
Revised again on March 1, 2021.
Accepted on September 7, 2021. (Not sure if it was due to a change in the system causing delay in acceptance or a change in the editor, as the editorial department mentioned in early July that they were still waiting for the reviewers' opinions. After a long wait, finally received good news.)
