Summary: The construction of ceRNA network in prostate cancer and the identification of its importance in predicting patient survival were investigated in this study. The analysis of microarray data led to the identification of differentially expressed mRNAs, lncRNAs, and miRNAs. A ceRNA network consisting of miRNAs, lncRNAs, and mRNAs was constructed, and 10 hub genes were identified. The expression levels of these hub genes showed high diagnostic value. Overall, this study introduces novel diagnostic biomarkers for prostate cancer.

Summary: This study analyzed miRNA-mRNA interactions and constructed networks for the onset and progression of prostate cancer, identifying potential biomarkers for differential diagnosis. The selected miRNAs showed better performance in predicting the occurrence and progression of prostate cancer compared to the miRNAs selected by the Boruta algorithm.

Summary: The study identified and established an mRNA-SNP-miRNA interaction network in prostate cancer, suggesting that hsa-miR-21, hsa-miR-30b, and ITGB8 may serve as new biomarkers. A nomogram model containing four variables was constructed for predicting the risk of prostate cancer.

Summary: This study identifies miRNA-mRNA regulation pairs related to bladder cancer pathogenesis through analyzing miRNA and mRNA datasets. One of the miRNA-mRNA regulation pairs was experimentally validated, and the diagnostic performance of these pairs in distinguishing bladder cancer was confirmed through ROC and DCA analysis. Additionally, the study found a correlation between these regulation pairs and tumor immunity.

Summary: This study suggests that differential miRNA-mRNA regulatory networks contribute to the disparities in prostate cancer (PCa) between African American (AA) and European American (EA) populations. The study identifies differential expression of miRNAs and mRNA pathways, particularly mTOR and VEGF signaling, in AA PCa compared to EA PCa. Further analysis reveals that certain miRNAs negatively regulate genes involved in PCa progression, providing potential targets for reducing PCa aggressiveness and chemoresistance in AA patients.

Summary: This study investigated the response of alfalfa to phosphate deficiency stress by integrating transcriptional and post-transcriptional data. Differentially expressed genes and miRNAs were identified, and their target genes and regulatory relationships were predicted. The study revealed the post-transcriptional regulation mechanism of phosphate deficiency responses in alfalfa.

Summary: Sulindac inhibits colorectal cancer cell cycle progression through up-regulation of Cyclin G2 and down-regulation of MiR-182, in turn enhancing FOXO3a transcriptional activity. The expression levels of MiR-182/FOXO3a/Cyclin G2 could potentially serve as predictive markers for tumor progression in colorectal cancer.

Summary: Thermosensitive cytoplasmic male sterile (TCMS) lines play a crucial role in wheat breeding. MiRNAs can regulate gene expression levels by inhibiting gene translation. YS3038, a wheat TCMS line, was studied for its fertility conversion mechanism through examination of abortion characteristics, miRNA regulation patterns, and target genes.

Summary: MicroRNA (miRNA) plays a role as post-transcriptional regulators of mRNAs by base-pairing with complementary sequences within mRNAs, which are involved in the complex interaction between immune system and tumors. In this study, we investigated the expression profiles of miRNAs and target mRNAs and their associations with phenotypic hallmarks of colorectal cancers (CRC). Through integrative analysis of transcriptomic, immunophenotype, methylation, mutation, and survival data, we identified two pivotal regulatory pairs (miR-139-5p/STC1 and miR-20a-5p/FGL2) and validated the diagnostic value of a complex model combining these signatures.
