Summary: This study investigated the effects of dietary L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate on juvenile hybrid grouper and found that supplementing with vitamin C improved growth performance and survival rates while reducing total feed intake. Hepatic VC concentration was positively correlated with dietary VC supplementation, reaching saturation at 386 mg/kg. Feeding diets without VC may lead to higher serum protein levels and skeletal deformities.

Summary: The experimental trial examined the effects of dietary pyridoxine on the growth performance, intestinal enzymatic activities, and antioxidant properties of Pelteobagrus fulvidraco. The results demonstrated that an appropriate amount of pyridoxine supplementation could improve the growth performance, intestinal health, and antioxidant capacity of the yellow catfish.

Summary: Vitamin C (VC), vitamin E (VE), and beta-carotene (beta C) are dietary antioxidants that can enhance the body's antioxidant capacity. Their effects on the gut microbiota were reviewed in this article, with 19 studies included. VC, VE, and beta C can modulate the composition and activity of the gut microbiota, improve intestinal barrier function, and support the normal function of the immune system, providing health benefits to the host. Future studies should further investigate the antioxidant activity of vitamins on the gut microbiota and explore the causal relationships between vitamin regulation of the gut microbiota and host health.

Summary: The meta-analysis found that high intake of vitamin E significantly reduced the risk of Parkinson's disease, while vitamin C intake did not show a significant protective effect. Further studies are needed to explore the exact mechanisms of vitamin E transportation and regulation in the central nervous system.

Summary: Supplementation with multiple micronutrients, including zinc, may be more beneficial in TB compared to vitamin A alone. Vitamin C at high concentrations sterilizes drug-resistant TB cultures and prevents the emergence of drug persisters; Vitamin D suppresses mycobacterium replication in vitro, while VE shows a promising role in TB management due to its connection with oxidative balance.

Summary: Vitamin E plays a crucial role in farmed fish, providing antioxidant protection, improving immune response and growth performance, reducing muscle degeneration and atherosclerosis risk, enhancing reproductive efficiency and product quality. Consideration should be given to the interaction of VE with vitamin C and selenium, as well as lipid content in feed when supplementing VE.

Summary: Vitamin E plays a crucial role in inhibiting unregulated lipid peroxidation by scavenging lipid peroxyl radicals, although it is not efficient in scavenging certain types of free radicals. Free radical-mediated lipid peroxidation is the major pathway of lipid oxidation in humans. Together with other antioxidants like vitamin C, vitamin E helps maintain human health and prevent diseases by inhibiting detrimental oxidation of biological molecules.

Summary: The objective of this study was to assess the impact of Vitamin E and Vitamin C on markers of the oxidant-antioxidant system, ovarian follicle reserves, and the surface epithelium in autologous intraperitoneal ovarian transplantation conducted in rats. The study showed that Vit E and Vit C preserved the ovarian follicle reserve and had a protective effect on the antioxidant system in autologous intraperitoneal ovarian transplantation.

Summary: The study found that supplementation of ASA at 100 mg/kg can enhance the growth of grass carp juveniles, but further increases to 200-400 mg/kg may lead to slight decreases in growth. Therefore, the optimal requirement of ASA for grass carp juveniles was estimated to be 67.1667 mg/kg, with a recommendation to analyze the combined effect of ASA with vitamin A and E.

Summary: In a pot experiment, cherry radish cultivated under two levels of As soil contamination (20 and 100 mg/kg) showed changes in amino acid and phytohormone metabolism, antioxidative metabolites, and anatomical structures under high As contamination (As100). The increase in As content in tubers led to an increase in bacterial precursor indole-3-acetamide and a decrease in cis-zeatin-9-riboside-5'-monophosphate content. A decrease in antioxidative metabolite content, including ascorbic acid and anthocyanins, was observed. These changes reflect the impact of As contamination on the physiological responses and anatomical features of radish tubers and roots.
