Summary: The study found that FLOT2 can upregulate BCAT1 transcription by maintaining c-Myc expression levels, thereby promoting NPC cell proliferation. FLOT2 and BCAT1 expression in NPC tissues are positively correlated and associated with patient prognosis.

Summary: In this study, we found that the expression of MYEOV gene is associated with poor survival in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and is higher in carcinoma tissues. Elevated levels of MYEOV promote cell proliferation, invasion and migration. Further analysis revealed that MYEOV regulates the expression levels of miR-17-5p and miR-93-5p, and its association with MYC contributes to the progression of PDAC.

Summary: The study demonstrates that shortening of the MYC 3'UTR in colorectal cancer leads to activation of oncogenes, with miR-138 identified as a potent regulator of MYC expression and tumor growth inhibition.

Summary: The study revealed that DDX52 was significantly overexpressed in MM tissues and associated with shorter overall survival in patients, indicating its potential as a prognostic marker in MM. Downregulation of DDX52 expression in MM cell lines inhibited cell proliferation and colony formation. Additionally, DDX52 mediated oncogenesis by promoting the transcriptional activity of c-Myc, suggesting it could be a therapeutic target in MM.

Summary: The study revealed that the T3SS effector VgpA in Vibrio parahaemolyticus interacts with the host cell nucleolus protein EBP2, leading to re-localization of c-Myc and increased cell proliferation. This interaction enhances EBP2 affinity for c-Myc, prolonging the oncoprotein's half-life and ultimately contributing to the pathogenesis of V. parahaemolyticus infection.

Summary: The study found that LINC00961 is significantly downregulated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues, and it inhibits the expression of miR-19a-3p/miR-19b-3p/miR-125b-5p through the PI3K-AKT/MAPK/mTOR signaling pathway, thereby suppressing tumor cell proliferation and migration while promoting apoptosis. This may provide potential biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of NSCLC.

Summary: The study showed that MICAL-L2 is highly expressed in human NSCLC and plays a role in promoting cancer cell proliferation by interacting with and stabilizing c-Myc protein. Depletion of MICAL-L2 led to reduced c-Myc stability and decreased cancer cell proliferation. This suggests that MICAL-L2 may be a potential therapeutic target for NSCLC.

Summary: The study found that the expression of OGFRP1 was higher in NSCLC tissues than in normal lung tissue; siOGFRP1 inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of A549 and H1299 cells to inhibit the progression of NSCLC, and OGFRP1 could directly interact with miR-4640-5p to regulate the development of NSCLC through the miR-4640-5p/eIF5A axis.

Summary: In this study, a tumor-suppressive lncRNA called SNHG10 was identified in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). SNHG10 upregulated BIN1 by inhibiting the activity of miR-200a-3p, thereby suppressing the proliferation and invasion ability of EOC cells. This suggests that the SNHG10/miR-200a-3p/BIN1 axis may serve as a potential therapeutic target and predictive biomarker for treating EOC.

Summary: Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Despite much attention on the role of circRNAs in NSCLC, the knowledge in this area is still limited. This study discovered that circACC1 is highly expressed in NSCLC patients and negatively correlated with overall survival. Mechanistically, circACC1 promotes NSCLC cell growth by directly binding to miR-29c-3p, while MCL-1 is identified as a downstream target of miR-29c-3p in NSCLC cells.
