The RFA significantly increases antibody titers, reduces viral titers, body weight loss, and improves survival rates in murine models. It has no gender difference in its effects.

Summary: In poultry farms in the Chattogram Division of Bangladesh, co-circulation of AIV subtypes H5N1 and H9N2 is common, indicating high levels of virus circulation and potential modulation of disease severity. Genetic analyses of a small subset of viruses sampled in the region show they are closely related to viruses isolated in Bangladesh, but the exact origin of these viruses remains uncertain due to lack of longitudinal surveillance in the area. Additionally, amino acids at putative antigenic residues underwent a distinct replacement in 2012, coinciding with the use of H5N1 vaccines.

Summary: The H9N2 subtype avian influenza virus has been circulating in China, causing significant economic losses and posing a threat to public health. Previous studies have shown that immunization with the turkey herpesvirus live vector vaccine candidate, HVT-H9, can provide good immunity in SPF chickens. In this study, broilers were immunized with HVT-H9 and then naturally infected with H9N2 AIV. Results showed that HVT-H9 vaccination prevented broiler mortality by inhibiting H9N2 virus infection and transmission.

A cross-sectional study was conducted using demographic characteristics, COVID-19-related variables, resilience, social support, anxiety, depression, and COVID-19-related burnout as predictors. Only 39.4% of participants were willing to accept the vaccine, with age and family support being associated with increased willingness. The study highlights the low intention of high-risk populations to receive the influenza vaccine and suggests the need for emphasis on safety and effectiveness.

Summary: This study investigated the presence of artificial sweeteners in honey samples from Asir region-Saudi Arabia and measured their concentration along with glucose oxidase (GOX) activity and other quality parameters. The results showed that Acacia and Zizphus honey samples contained high amounts of sorbitol and trace levels of xylitol. The floral origin and year of harvest significantly influenced the pH, electric conductivity, and acidity of the honey samples.

Summary: Cationic dye (methylene blue) and anionic dye (carmine) degradation were demonstrated using SrO and G-SrO NPs. The efficacy of photocatalysis and electro & photo-electrocatalytic oxidation in degrading carmine dye was compared. The study found that graphene-modified SrO nanoparticles showed improved photocatalytic activity and the 0.25G-SrO catalyst achieved high degradation efficiency for methylene blue dye under UV light.

Summary: This study investigated the biological effects of Moringa oleifera leaf extract (MOE) alone or in combination with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on colon cancer and microbial cell growth. The results showed that MOE had mild antibacterial effects and increased apoptosis and p53 protein expression in colon cancer cells. MOE also arrested cell cycle at G2/M phase and stimulated splenic cell growth. Both extract preparations exhibited antioxidant activities. Thus, MOE can be utilized as an anticancer agent.

Summary: The morphology and histology of the tongue in two adult Asian bears were examined using light and scanning electron microscopy, revealing four types of papillae. The tongue was covered by a keratinized stratified squamous epithelium, with a dense connective tissue making up the lamina propria and thick masses of striated muscles forming the bulk of the tongue. Lingual salivary glands with seromucous secretions were also present in the lingual root.
