Summary: PKM2, highly expressed in psoriatic epidermis, plays a crucial role in promoting glycolytic metabolism and cell proliferation in psoriatic keratinocytes. Inhibition of PKM2 or glycolysis effectively suppresses keratinocyte proliferation, suggesting PKM2 as a potential therapeutic target for psoriasis.

Summary: KYNU is upregulated in psoriatic skin samples and plays a crucial role in the production of inflammatory factors and the development of psoriasis-like skin inflammation. The microRNA miR-203a can inversely regulate KYNU and reduce psoriasis-related inflammatory factors. KYNU inhibitors can alleviate pathological phenotypes in IMQ-mice.

Summary: The study reveals that NAMPT-mediated NAD salvage pathway plays a role in psoriasis by amplifying immune responses in the skin. NAMPT induces hyper-proliferation in keratinocytes and impairs their terminal differentiation, contributing to inflammatory responses associated with psoriasis.

Summary: Placenta accreta is a high-risk condition causing obstetric crisis and hemorrhage, and its pathogenesis is not yet fully understood. This study identified the potential factors involved in trophoblast invasiveness and angiogenic potential that contribute to the development of placenta accreta. The study focused on the TGF-beta 1-Smad pathway and investigated the inhibitory effect of UCHL5 using bAP15 on trophoblast cells. The results suggest that the interaction between TGF-beta 1-Smad and ERK pathways is involved in the abnormal invasive and angiogenic capacities of extravillous cells.

Summary: This study explored the expression of Gal-9 and TIM-3 in AD patients and found that both Gal-9 and TIM-3 levels were higher in AD patients than in healthy controls. These levels were associated with disease activity, IgE levels, and circulating eosinophils and/or B cells. Furthermore, Gal-9 was found to inhibit T cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in AD patients.
