Summary: The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between diurnal blood pressure pattern and season. The results showed that the diurnal blood pressure pattern significantly differed among seasons. Four types of blood pressure patterns were identified: dipper, non-dipper, riser, and extreme-dipper. Age difference among seasons was only significant in the dipper group. Multinomial logistic regression analysis revealed that season was an independent contributor to diurnal blood pressure pattern.

Summary: This paper outlines and discusses advanced flexible wearable sensors for monitoring cardiovascular vital signals, highlighting functional materials, configurations, mechanisms, and recent advances, as well as discussing challenges, possible strategies, and future directions. With rapid development, these flexible wearable sensors have the potential to be applied for both medical diagnosis and daily healthcare use in addressing cardiovascular diseases.

Summary: This study investigated the diurnal variation of retinal vessel density in glaucoma patients with low baseline intraocular pressure. The results showed that the magnitude of diurnal changes in vessel density and ocular perfusion pressure were greater in the glaucoma group compared to the healthy group. Significant differences in the diurnal patterns of vessel density were observed between the two groups. These findings suggest that OCTA-derived vessel density variation may be related to hemodynamic variability in glaucoma.

Summary: Central systolic blood pressure (cSBP) is more closely associated with hypertension-mediated organ damage and prognosis than brachial systolic blood pressure. This study investigated the 24-hour profiles of brachial and central SBP in untreated adults, providing reference values and analyzing daytime-nighttime variability. The findings have potential implications for refining hypertension diagnosis and management.

Summary: This study found that 90 and 120 mmHg IPC significantly increased foot SBF in healthy subjects and improved SBF in diabetic subjects. Both 90 and 120 mmHg IPC showed a greater effect than 60 mmHg, with 120 mmHg IPC being more effective for diabetic subjects.

Summary: This prospective study investigated the diurnal variations of choroidal optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) indices over 24 hours in healthy young myopic and non-myopic adults. Significant variations in most OCT-A indices were observed with peaks between 2 to 6 AM, and myopes showed earlier peaks and greater diurnal amplitudes compared to non-myopes. Correlations were found between OCT-A indices and choroidal thickness, intraocular pressure, and systemic blood pressure.

Summary: This study found that SGLT2i can reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients and attenuate renal sympathetic nerve activity and skeletal muscle reflex activity. Additionally, the study found that SGLT2i has no impact on glycemic control. These findings have important clinical implications for preventing hypertension and hypertensive heart disease in young prehypertensive individuals.

Summary: The study found that thermal sensation responses vary with the diurnal cycle even when subjects are exposed to constant high humidity and stable temperatures. Differences in warm and cool sensation thresholds and finger blood flow rate slightly decreased towards evening under all relative humidity conditions, while stratum corneum water content increased from morning to evening at 60% and 80% RH. Additionally, subjects responded more to slightly warm sensations at 70% and 80% RH in the evening, leading to a significant change in thermal sensation responses.

Summary: The study found that human skin microbiome traces can accurately match individuals' homes or neighborhoods in a short period of time, and this matching accuracy does not decay over 10 days, suggesting the stability of the human skin microbiome. Additionally, daily routines and sampling time can both affect the matching accuracy of microbiome traces.

Summary: This study compared the transduction of sympathetic firing into blood pressure in treated patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and healthy controls. The results showed that treated HFrEF patients had lower sympathetic-BP transduction, even when muscle sympathetic nerve activity (MSNA) was not elevated, and this transduction diminished further with disease progression.

Summary: In patients hospitalized for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), changes in blood pressure and heart rate were assessed, and a modified reverse shock index (mRSI) was found to be a significant predictor of early outcomes. The mRSI could be used as a tool to assess patient status and guide physicians in treating patients with HFrEF.
