Summary: Density Functional Theoretical (DFT) and molecular docking studies were used to investigate the antineoplastic potential of the ligand MET and its platinum and zinc complexes. The reactivity and stability of the complexes were analyzed using frontier molecular orbital and global quantum reactivity parameters. The results showed that the Pd complex exhibited higher reactivity and antineoplastic activity compared to the Zn complex.

Summary: Upon irradiation with 415 nm light, the complex [Ir(pbt)(2)(dppn)]Cl(1) exhibits high photo-oxidation activity (87% conversion yield for 1 and 15% for the free ligand dppn) and light-controlled luminescence. Two complexes, [Ir(pbt)(2)(dppn)]Cl (1) and [Ir(pt)(2)(dppn)]Cl (2), have been synthesized to investigate the influence of cyclometalating ligands on the photo-oxidation activity and explore their photo-oxidation-induced luminescence.

Summary: The product of hydrogen peroxide oxidation of the Pt-II anticancer agent is [Pt{(p-BrC6F4)NCH=C(Cl)NEt2}Cl(py)] (1Cl). Spectroscopic and computational studies reveal that the oxidation process is ligand-based and the stability of 1Cl(+) is increased compared to 1(+) due to a larger electron density distribution on the ligand framework.

Summary: Pt(II) complexes are promising materials for OLED applications in various fields. A series of novel Pt(II) emitters based on biphenyl (bp) were designed and their properties were studied. Ligand modification and linking group control could effectively regulate their properties, while the emission spectra remained constant. The emitters exhibited vibronically featured spectra and achieved high photoluminescent quantum yields. Green OLED using Pt(bp-12) achieved a maximum brightness of 16,644 cd/m(2).

Summary: Pt-IV coordination complexes were synthesized by oxidizing the antitumor agent [Pt-II(p-BrC6F4)NCH2CH2NEt2}Cl(py)]. Experimental data showed that excess H2O2 and elevated temperature favored the oxidation of the ligand, while a smaller amount of H2O2 at room temperature favored the oxidation of the metal, resulting in the formation of platinum(IV) complexes.

Summary: The study focused on the synthesis and characterization of bis[terpyridine-based Pt(ii)] complexes with different terminal ligands. It was found that the choice of ligands resulted in different supramolecular architectures, including circular and helical fiber structures. The formation of supramolecular architectures was driven by PtMIDLINE HORIZONTAL ELLIPSISPtpi-pi and intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions. Additionally, the presence of pyridine led to a transition from circular to helical fiber structures.

Summary: In this study, Agar-carboxymethylcellulose-silver nanoparticle (AG-CMC-AgNP) nanocomposite was successfully fabricated and characterized. The adsorption of methylene blue (MB) dye onto AG-CMC-AgNP was investigated, and the results showed that AG-CMC-AgNP had a high adsorption capacity and good adsorption performance for MB. The adsorption process followed the Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order reaction kinetic model. The biosorbent was found to be reusable, although the adsorption capacity slightly decreased after multiple cycles.

Summary: Prepared and characterized a new nanocomposite, mag-HA-Ald np, for bone tissue scaffold formation. Iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4 np) were added to aqueous solutions of Ca(NO3)(2)& BULL;4H(2)O and (NH4)(2)HPO4 to obtain mag-HA np. The structure of the nanocomposites was investigated using spectral and microscopy techniques, while the cytotoxicity was evaluated using MTT assay. The results confirmed the successful synthesis of mag-HA-Ald np and revealed a positive correlation between Ald and iron oxide content with cell viability. Additionally, magnetic field application significantly decreased cell viability.

Summary: This study reports the preparation and characterization of new biocompatible injectable bone paste (IBP) nanocomposites, including hydroxyapatite-gelatin (HA-Gel) and hydroxyapatite-gelatin-alendronate (HA-Gel-Ald np). The IBP nanocomposites HA-Gel np were synthesized from mixing gelatin with aqueous solutions of Ca(NO3)(2).4H(2)O and (NH4)(2)HPO4. The target nanocomposites HA-Gel-Ald np were obtained by reacting alendronate (Ald) aqueous solution with HA-Gel np nanocomposites. The physico-chemical measurements confirmed the successful isolation of HA-Gel np and HA-Gel-Ald np nanocomposites with different ratios, and the cytotoxicity of the nanocomposites on stem cells was assessed.
