Summary: A transformation system of exogenous DNA into E. coli cells was established in this study through ultrasound mediation. The damage to host cells induced by lower ultrasound power and shorter duration was found to be reversible, with the transformation efficiency and cell survival rate unaffected. Proper changes in cell membrane and wall are essential for exogenous DNA uptake, and the replication and expression of exogenous DNA in cells depend on host cell viability.

Summary: DNA manipulation is crucial for many biotechnological prospects and medical applications, and the natural magnesium silicate clay mineral sepiolite, with its capacity to bind to DNA, shows potential as a useful tool in these fields. Sepiolite is also advantageous due to its low cost, non-toxic nature, and non-carcinogenic properties.

Summary: This paper analyzes the three-layer flow of an immiscible nanoliquid in a composite annulus with an electro-kinetic effect using Buongiorno's model. The results show that the electroosmotic parameter enhances the velocity but reduces the electrostatic potential, while the diffusion ratio improves the temperature and decreases the solute concentration of the fluid.

Summary: This study explores the application of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) as adsorbent materials in adsorption-based heat transformation. Different MOFs were synthesized and their water adsorption was measured. The entropy generation and surface properties were studied to understand the relationship between surface energy and water adsorption. This information is crucial for designing efficient adsorption-based heat transformation applications.

Summary: This article presents an investigation on the mass and heat transfer characteristics of MHD copper-water nanofluid flow squeezed between two parallel plates, considering the effects of applied magnetic field and chemical reaction. The study utilizes the Differential Transformation Method and Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method for numerical solutions. The results are validated and the effects of various parameters on velocity, thermal and mass transfer profiles are analyzed through diagrams.

Summary: Flexible solid-state battery with high flexibility, easy portability, and high safety shows great potential in new technology products. However, the mechanical and electrochemical problems caused by bending deformation are worth exploring. This study develops a fully coupled electro-chemo-mechanical model to investigate the influence of different bending forms on the battery's performance. The results suggest that the negative curvature bending reduces plastic strain but causes capacity loss due to negative potential shift.

Summary: The article discusses the impact of technological parameters in plasma arc cutting process on the quality of cut surfaces and the changes in chemical composition of steel plates. The research found that adjusting the cutting parameters can result in high-quality cut surfaces. Chemical composition analysis showed the formation of an amorphous phase on the cut surface with high nitrogen content. The cutting rate was identified as a key factor influencing the quality of the cut surfaces.

Summary: This study investigates the corrosion kinetics and crack propagation in buried transmission pipelines made of high-strength low alloy steel API X100. Two numerical models were developed to address the gap in understanding the corrosion and crack behavior of this steel grade in near-neutral pH environments. The findings contribute to improving the performance of corroded pipelines in such environments.

Summary: The study quantitatively evaluated the reorientation of clayey minerals during swelling/sedimentation based on mechanical contacts and electrochemical forces, showing that factors such as particle weight, repulsive force, and number of DDL contacts are effective parameters. In addition, at low swelling pressure, particles easily rotated to create an edge-to-face fabric, increasing potential for overlap and mechanical contacts. The study demonstrated good compatibility between DEM simulation and DDL theory.
