Summary: This study compared the long-term effectiveness and safety of the combination of methotrexate and adalimumab with adalimumab monotherapy in patients with moderate to severe plaque type psoriasis. The results showed a trend towards longer drug survival in the combination therapy group, but no significant difference was found compared to the monotherapy group. Similar conclusions were drawn regarding the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity of the drugs. Overall, combination therapy may have a better effect in individual patients.

Summary: This study compared the clinical outcomes of treatment with adalimumab, both the originator and biosimilar ABP 501, in patients with autoimmune arthritis. Patients naive to the originator and its biosimilar showed similar retention rates, while those switching from the originator to biosimilar had a higher, though not statistically significant, retention rate compared to naive patients. Factors influencing retention rate included diagnosis of axial spondylarthritis, switching from originator to biosimilar, and year of prescription.

Comparison of Adalimumab to Other Targeted Therapies in Rheumatoid Arthritis: Results from Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Analysis

There were no significant differences in safety profile among the treatment options.

miR-10 and Its Negative Correlation with Serum IL-35 Concentration and Positive Correlation with STAT5a Expression in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Summary: Circulating free-cell miRNAs have become increasingly important as potential non-invasive biomarkers, particularly in the field of oncology. This research aimed to investigate the association between selected miRNAs in serum and the expression of Th17/Treg transcription factors, as well as clinical features, in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. The study found that miR-10 was only detected in RA patients and its expression was correlated with IL-35 serum concentration and STAT5a mRNA level. Additionally, miR-326 was significantly upregulated in RA patients with rheumatoid factor presence. The differential association of transcription factor expression with serum miRNA levels may have implications for the diagnosis and progression of RA and osteoarthritis (OA).

Overall, adverse childhood experiences seem to be more important than personality traits, psychopathological or demographic variables.
